BUILT TO MOVE
When you make a Spime Dynamic, the app uses your device's location and motion information—with your permission—to recognize when you're moving and adjust the Spime accordingly.

When you're stationary, geolocation is disabled to help conserve battery power.

To Move With You, Spime Needs to Know When You Move.
BACKGROUND LOCATION
A Dynamic Spime follows the location of the person who created it. That needs to continue even when Spime isn't open on your screen or your device is on standby.
For that reason, Dynamic Spimes require permission to use location services in the background.
When your device asks, make sure you allow Spime the required background/Always location access. Choosing location access only while you're using the app can prevent your Dynamic Spime from moving correctly.
Important: If you've previously denied background location access, you'll need to re-enable it through your device's Settings before using Dynamic Spimes.
Background location isn't running unnecessarily.
Spime activates background location tracking when you have an active Dynamic Spime; otherwise it remains disabled.
What Spime Stores.
LOCATION & PRIVACY
To make location-based features work, Spime needs to know your current location.
For an active Dynamic Spime, Spime stores only the last known location required for the feature to operate.
We don't publish your current location.
Other users aren't shown your coordinates or a marker identifying your personal location. They may see an estimated distance from you, but not the direction to your location.
We don't build a history of where you've been.
Spime does not store historical location information about your movement.
We keep only what's needed for the active experience.
The last known location associated with the Dynamic Spime is discarded when Dynamic mode is disabled, the Spime expires or the Spime is deleted.
Dynamic Spimes need your location to move with you—not to create a history of your movements.

Enable Dynamic Spime.

Allow the required location permissions if prompted.
Dynamic Spimes are a Premium Feature and require Tokens. Premium members use fewer Tokens.
