• “Follow Spime” procedure vastly improved: Now, a user is automatically granted a Spime “Follow” when taking a photo or video inside that Spime. Non-followed Spimes now provide alert/reminder to users.

• Video taken on Android devices now plays normally on iOS devices. (iOS users can still view some v. 1.x video taken on Android by “scrubbing” the video manually. Sound may not be enabled. The video is stored intact and users can download it and play it locally for full effect.)

• Users are now required to grant app permissions at the very beginning using a new system of toggle switches. To ensure full operation, and to allow users to enjoy Spime in full, the app will now simply not start unless all required permissions are granted.
• Android users no longer see multiple permission requests for each file in a multi-download batch.
• Downloads on Android devices are no longer saved in a new folder carrying Spime’s name. They are saved in the default photo library on user’s device.
• Label “Unfollow” for each Spime in Archives changed to “Remove”.
• QR scanner process now automatically puts users inside Spime, after successful unlocking.
• A countdown timer is now shown during video recordings.
